MEĐUGORJE is a place of Christian pilgrimage situated in Herzegovina, 25 kilometers southwest from the town of Mostar. It has become one of the most frequently visited pilgrimage sites in the world. The apparitions of the Virgin Mary started in 1981 and last till the present day.
